Twenty search results rewritten against our own Search Console data
- The basis is now our own query data, not a guess: the 90-day Search Console export (2026-07-10 to 2026-10-07, 1,031 clicks on 44,920 impressions, 2,498 queries) named 20 pages carrying ≥50 impressions at position 5–30 that were hardly ever clicked. Those 20 are what this release rewrote.
- Fifteen knowledge-base, equipment and document pages gained a "Quick answers" block above their facts, with the same text emitted as FAQPage structured data. Every answer is built from fields the page already renders — the creature’s role and level 1–50 day-form table, a quest’s journal step and outcome counts, an item’s own description and prices, a document’s own wording — and the file that holds them, `src/lib/seo-overrides.ts`, records per page which query it answers and which field the phrase came from.
- Titles changed from a module label to an answer: "Murohn — Creatures & Enemies" is now "Murohn: Feral Supernatural Creature, Stats 1–50", "Burrow Sorrows — Quests" is "Burrow Sorrows: Side Quest, 4 Steps & 2 Outcomes". Where the query asked for a location, the title says location; five guide titles did the same in all four languages (20 pages).
- A dead end is now stated instead of papered over: the Odd Riddle document carries the four riddle lines and never names the correct choice, so its page says exactly that — 32 impressions arrived looking for an answer the source does not publish.
- Two guide FAQs were showing their own markup to readers — `[first-act walkthrough](/walkthrough/…)` rendered as literal text inside a plain-text field, in English, Spanish, Indonesian and Brazilian Portuguese (8 files). The link syntax is gone from those answers; the body prose still links.
- Six core rows were added to the layout gate, one per template that now carries the block, so a page with a "Quick answers" card is graded on every viewport instead of hoping the sampler picks it (35 tests across 5 viewports green; 0 broken internal hrefs on the re-audit).

The map says where its coordinates came from, and two databases grew
- Map data went from 710 to 718 points of interest: eight markers the atlas carries inside Svartrau and Maragir Wealds had no pin here — A Hero's End, In the Name of the Father, The Champion of Old, Father Florin's Hideout, Ancient Hero's Armor, Phial of Xanthe's Blood, The Hand of Fate and Erkas's Sword. Layer counts are now 187 quest sites, 152 landmarks, 140 manuals, 88 lairs, 56 activities, 41 treasure caches, 24 settlements, 23 vendors and 7 boss lairs.
- Where the coordinates come from is finally recorded: they are the affine projection of a 712-marker reference set, fitted over 375 shared points with a median error of 0.38 px (worst 0.66 px). A new script, `scripts/enumerate-map.mjs`, re-fetches that set, re-fits and reports the difference, and refuses to emit anything if the fit degrades — so the map can be re-checked instead of re-asserted.
- Reconciling by position rather than by name changed the answer: 704 of the 712 reference markers were already here under different labels, so the real gap was eight pins, not the sixteen a name-only comparison reported.
- Fifteen more markers now open a knowledge-base page on their detail card — the manuals that point at the ability each book unlocks, the treasure pins that point at the weapon inside, and two quest sub-sites whose pin name differs from the journal entry. Pin-to-knowledge-base coverage went from 203 to 221 of 718 (measured on the built map page).
- The quest library grew from 191 to 196: Ambrus's Cellars, Bakir's Pillories: Catalin's Tutor, Bandits's Treasure Map: Boar's Back, Xanthe's Excavations and Xanthe's Recruiters, each with its journal objectives and recorded endings (now 1,175 steps and 488 outcomes). Seven more were found on the source but left out on purpose — their journal category cannot be derived from anything we would cite, and a wrong category is a visible fact, not a harmless gap.
- The item database grew from 1,054 to 1,071: seventeen entries the reference database names that we never carried — the bandit and hidden-stash Treasure Maps, the Monastery, Wayside Shrine and Manumit Cache maps, Ambrus's Blood Network, and five writings (A Page from Silas's Book, Human Anatomy, Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Kuno's Drawing, Warrant of Capture), each with the weight and prices the source states. Forty-seven more were found and left out: the source records no category for them, and ours is our own taxonomy, so filling it in would be invention.
- Item artwork is now resolved against the files before an <img> is written, so an entry without published art shows a labelled tile instead of requesting a file that does not exist — and the item list dropped its `onerror` band-aid in the process. All seventeen new items do carry the game icon the source publishes, so none of them currently needs the tile.

Quest depth, and a ninth database
- Books & Documents: every in-game readable — 811 letters, notices, manuals, scripture and quest notes — transcribed in full as the knowledge base’s ninth module, each with its kind, word count and source.
- Recorded outcomes now appear on quest pages: 480 documented endings across all 191 quests.
- Quest objectives rebuilt from 67 to 191 quests (1,169 journal steps), and the quest library itself grew to 191 entries, including five quests the source indexes omit.
- Locations went from 11 to 29 and creatures from 24 to 36; module lists now sort at render time, and location artwork resolves by file existence, so a location without art no longer requests a missing image.
- 29 quest-level walkthroughs in journal order, a mid-game Act 2–3 guide, and three more mechanics explainers (shrine system, crafting and alchemy, the denarii economy).
- News caught up to the day: Hotfix 1.0.5 and the October update preview, four factual corrections against the original reporting, and a cited source on every news item.
- All four languages now carry every guide: 108 each in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Indonesian, including this round’s 29 quest walkthroughs and 3 new mechanics pages.
- The document archive stopped being an island: 393 documents link to the inventory item they are (and those item pages link back to the text), 182 name a place with its own page and 312 name a character, and quest pages offer the documents that name their region — 135 of 191 quests reach at least one document, and the other 56 are told why rather than padded with guesses.
- /wiki/lore/ was a single page of all 811 cards (654 KB). It is now a 113 KB hub over static slices — by kind, by place named in the text, by person, and an A–Z walk — and every document carries a keep-reading list, so no page in the archive ends in a dead end.
- 157 readable items still have no text here: the source database does not publish those either (sampled 14 of them, all 404). Their item pages now say so instead of leaving a silent gap.
- Entries without published artwork (18 locations, 12 creatures, 5 characters) show a labelled typographic tile instead of an empty slot, and every image URL is resolved against the file system first.
- This page itself: /changelog/ records site changes on its own axis, so /updates/ can keep tracking game patches only. Knowledge-base entry and module counts are now interpolated from data instead of hand-written copy.
- The layout gate now runs offline (third-party requests aborted, so ad overlays cannot swallow test clicks) and grades one Chromium round.
- The same gate now audits the localized hub and tool pages — /es/wiki/, /id/gear-estimator/, 78 of them — which its page sampler structurally could not reach before, and a missing cookie-consent click now fails the run instead of passing silently.

Knowledge-base monetisation and a full-site layout gate
- Ad slots wired through the whole knowledge base: 1,421 wiki pages, 555 equipment entries and the eight tool pages.
- Unfilled units now collapse by measured height, so a fixed-size slot no longer leaves a dead frame on the page.
- Mobile layout revised: two in-content units replace the 320×50 anchor bar, with the compliance and close controls reworked.
- An 11-viewport layout regression suite landed for the entire site, together with a CI workflow that runs a 5-viewport preset on every pull request.
- Map: 710 points of interest behind nine filter layers with shareable state, plus redesigned region pages and sidebar.
