Is my progress saved anywhere on a server? +
No. Your progress lives in your browser’s local storage only. Clearing browser data or using a private window starts you over; a fresh device starts at zero.
Do the map and this page use the same data? +
Yes. Both read and write the same visited-places list, so checking a place off on the map updates this page and vice-versa. The milestone checklist is a small, separate list so it survives a map reset.
What does a shared link contain? +
Your checked-off places and milestones, encoded into the URL. The recipient opens it and sees your exact progress; the link never requires an account or a server.
