Between the Words is the journal’s quiet follow-up to the St. Tyna’s convent run: four entries of reading, tea, and one suspicious blank book. It is filed under The thirty days, the open chapter, and placed in St. Tyna’s Grove — a roughly 16–22 NPC band. The introduction assumes the heist is already done: “Together with Anca, I managed to find the forbidden books deep below the haunted convent. Now I have to see if they hold the answers I seek.”
Where the quest sits
This is a companion quest in the literal sense — every entry involves Anca, and the journal moves the scene from the convent haul to the old inn where she is staying. Note the ordering quirk: the journal lists this quest first in its chapter, yet its own text describes the books as already recovered, which is where Echoes of Silenced Bells ends. The chapter note is clear that nothing forces these quests in sequence, so read the two together rather than strictly one after the other.
Journal objectives
The journal records these four entries, in this order:
- Browse through the books with Anca — “Let’s take a closer look at the books we’ve hauled out of the convent – fingers crossed they were worth the effort.”
- Prepare a warm drink for Anca — “Anca says she’s thirsty – and I could sure use a break from staring at these musty volumes.”
- Bring the intriguing book to Anca — “A book with blank pages… It truly is empty – or is something hidden here?”
- Study the forbidden books with Anca — “We managed to find the forbidden books – and Anca took them back to the old inn she’s staying at. I need to go there and help her comb through these volumes.”
Before you go
The grove’s band is mid-game territory — higher than the regions the prologue leaves you in — so the level 16–22 range is the only real gate, and the mid-game walkthrough covers how the chapter’s regions and vassal arcs are sequenced. If you have not run the convent yet, Echoes of Silenced Bells is the entry whose outcome this quest’s introduction describes; the St. Tyna’s monastery guide is the location reference.
