Magister Arcanorum, part 1 is a manual in The Blood of Dawnwalker.
“We need to improve our magic. We pay with our blood, but the results are weak. Pitiful. If you say otherwise, you are a fool. But if you see the truth, know this: I shall give you the key to true power. My guidance is free, although we are both aware that there will be a price. I am Heinrich Roeslin, master of the arcane arts, advisor to the Margrave of Ancona. Heed my words and you shall make your magic grander.”
